Mister Joe Gagan, allow me to grab this opportunity to say thanks for the Easy Face to you and all who contributed. I made one on a piece of cardboard and into a corned beef can, with an AC122 from an defunkt uher. At last saturday's jam the only other effects I used were a bit of reverb and delay. I never used a FF type pedal before so I can't really compare, but clarity and variation are really good and it cutted through the band in pleasant ways. I knew the website of you and your brother much longer (I want to build a baritone scale + strat scale doubleneck myself) and listened to some of your nice music.

Life is good.
NVN is in restructure phase as I redesign the existing peds and prepare to a launch a few others in the coming months. Dave Barber's awesome assembly method inspired me to clean up the wiring of the pedals inside and simplify the designs, so there will be fewer knobs and footswitches to confuse people while bringing the retail price down as well. The Brontoboost is in research/proto phase to resolve a few stability/noise issues with the help of a famous pedal guy ( wink - thanks!)
Toying with the idea of finally launching a production version of the easyface.

I've been expanding my business capabilites in other areas and spending a lot of good time with my sons lately. They are both becoming quite good on guitar and doing well in school - 8 th and 10 th grade.

Gagan Bros Band has been defunct for some months now, last gig was in Austin in November 03. Tim decided to move on after 8 years. I have been gigging a little as a sideman and have a few shows coming up that feature me as the bandleader.

My divorce was final in January and I have been enjoying dating, mostly women in their 50s! Been avoiding single mothers like the plague....

Joe- I've been enjoying my DIY Tone Dog pedal (a simplified Brontoboost) for a while now and have heard it played through several types of amps and through a variety of guitars. They all sound great! One memorable combo that sounded stellar was a Ric 12-string through a vintage low-watt tweed amp. You really have a stellar design there and I'm glad I ran across it a few months back. I believe that you said that you made some prototypes and were considering releasing it in the future. For everyone who enjoyed the Bronto, but didn't need the extra Silicon stage, the Tone Dog may be perfect for you. I am having a bit of a pop when switching it on and off, so I'll try some tweaking with resistors to see if it goes away.

By the way, I tried several of the mods and like the stock setting best with a jumper where you can add a resistor and no cap going to the trim pot. If anyone is interested in the schem, it can be found at http://sounds.ampage.org/. Look under the heading "More Brontoboosting" at the bottom of the list of sounds and links. You'll be glad you did.

Your skyripper is still doing fine,Phillip has done a layout for your Dinosour  a  while ago so i guess i have to build that one too now :wink:
The Easyface indeed is one of the greatest finds.
Through a high gain amp there isn`t much more one needs really but hey;that doesnt stop me soldering!
