I was after a delay circuit with decent maximum delay length (nothin shorter than 500ms) and parts that are easy to get hold of. I have seen alot of circuits using the PT2399 but i can't get hold of any in Australia. Oh and I don't mind if the circuit you recomend is difficult with alot of parts.

Just order your PT2399 from Steve Daniels....

Ok so I probably order the PT2399s  :D  What is the best sounding delay circuit using the PT2399 and what is its max delay time? Also can you combine two PT2399s to get extra delay (i highly doubt it but doesn't hurt asking)?

Check out the designs for Scott Swartz's PT-80 and AD3208 at GeneralGuitarGadgets. The latter is analog using bucket brigade devices. You apparently have the chops to make your own board, but JD offers ready-to-solder if you want.
