Well, sorry to start another OT, but I just wanted to have as much help with this as possible.  My plans for building go as such:

-Make a bill of materials
-Acquire all said materials
-make board, populate
-make chassis

I'm having a little trouble understanding some stuff on the schematic, and I'd appreciate if you guys could help me with my bill of materials.  I used the schematics found here and here.  The links are to the power and preamp respectively.  Thanks in advance,

Jeff

Buy the 6Sx Twin chassis from webervst, there is no way you'll do better for $25:

Try www.ampage.org for info and advice, more amp builders hang around there.

Have you priced out everything already?  You're looking at:

Transformers & choke: $200-250
Chassis: $25 (see above)
Faceplate: $20
Tubes: $80-100
Filter caps, board, sockets: $50-100
Miscellaneous (pots, wire, lamp, etc.): $50-100

Oh yeah, the usual cautions apply: big tube amps contain voltages that can KILL, even with the amp unplugged and turned off - so make sure you know what you're doing!

Study better (more complete) schematics first before you start.

Go to these places, print-out what you like, and compare your notes:

and some parts...

and theres plenty more around. Once you're well versed in Marshall'esque (and if you haven't already) go over to AX84, you may find you really want something a bit different than a 1959SLP clone.
