To simulate the sag of a valve rectifier, when it cannot keep up with the demands of current by the amp...
 For the battery supply, Use a Jfet as a constant current source ie drain connected to Battery, gate connected to source via resistor, then get supply from source...
BUT heres the twist, you use a fet as a variable resistor instead of the fixed resistor, then you use an envelope detector on the input to control the resistance of the fet, thus changing the current dragged from the supply...
Probably completely wrong, but it was worth a shot... :)

If you do it right you could get something cool out of that... however since the supply voltage is much much lower you're not going to have as much effect. A 1k resistor on a 300v B+ is going to make much more difference than a 1k on 9v ;) So take that into account.
I don't like Holland. Nobody has the transistors I want.
