I've made some dumb mistakes drilling hammond boxes (in the process of fitting pots and jacks) is there any way to fill the drilled out holes. to salvage the boxes is there a chemical compound that will seal those holes

thanks- mustapah

In the past, I have used JB Weld to fix stuff like that. I put a piece of aluminum tape on the interior of the enclosure and then plaster on the JB Weld, and smooth it a little bit. When it's hardened, I sand it down flush with the surrounding area. I don't know how well it will do with a 3/8" size hole, I haven't filled anything larger than about a 1/8" hole...
Anything that would probably work is some bondo.

Bondo works great in filling holes.
Use some duct tape on the inside of the box to keep the bondo in there. Once you sand it down and paint, you can't tell.
