I want to say lifting either end would do the same thing, is that correct?
What I am thinking about specificly is the MXR Dyna-Comp/Ross Comp at tonepad.
http://tonepad.com/project.asp?id=10  look at the layout links and choose the one titled    tonepad_rodymod.pdf 53   then you have to click the download link.
Anyway, it documents a mod that involves lifting four caps to ground to get between the MXR and Ross circuits. Thing is this mod does not address the five resistors, or lack thereof, to really make a complete shift from one circuit to another.
So, my thinking is that is I can lift those four caps at the ground connection then I can tie all those leads to one pole of a 6PDT rotary switch. Tie those 5 resistor/jumper sections to the other 5 poles and Ta-Da the dual mod works in it's full and true glory.
Ok so am I just dreaming or did I actually use this round thing atop my shoulders for once?  :P
