Hi everybody,
I built the Brian May Treble Booster (like this: http://snipurl.com/cmef  ) and I use it with my cranked Vox AC30.
Is there a way to increase the gain obtained from the treble booster? Something like using a different transistor (a suggestion, please...=)) or a different cap/res configuration.
Thanx a lot!!!

Try a different transistor with higher hfe. Also, make sure the pin configuration matches the BC182L. Increasing the input cap increases gain, but changes the tonal signiture.

Hi,
thanx for your reply.
Have you tried any transistor in particular? Wich is the best sounding one?
Another little question:  does anybody know if the classic rangemaster (like this: http://snipurl.com/cmgx  ) has more gain than the Brian May Treble Booster?
Thanx a lot!
