Thanks.  I'll contact aron.  I based if off Torchy's vero layout just as you have described doing so in this thread.  A simple little circuit like the LPB1 done that way would definitely clear things up on how to do it for the beginners.

Got myself set up in the new gallery.  I have one layout there, the LPB1 based off the vero layout, but a perf layout.  All newbies look at it to get a visual of what Andy was talking about.  The folder is "Erik's Layouts".
