hello, thanx for this great forum always!

ive been trying to figure out why my fenderblender clone is not working well,

I built Fender Blender clone from fuzz central
http://fuzzcentral.ssguitar.com/blender.php

However, only sustain and  blend knobs seem to respond, and volume and tone knobs doesnt seem to work, what i mean is, if i turn either volume or tone knobs, it doesnt change anything,

also, tone boost switch doesnt seem to effect anything,

voltages on transistors are

Q1 E-0.15 B-0.68 C-4.56
Q2 E-4.02 B-4.56 C-9.11
Q3 E-3.07 B-3.36 C-5.98
Q4 E-0.58 B-1.17 C-2.01
Q5 E-0.03 B-0.55 C-8.71

ive been trying to debug this for 2 weeks and any advice would be appreciate it!!!

is it around Q5 since level and tone pots are around there?

any advice would be appreciated, its been driving me nuts for last 2 weeks! :icon_cry:

deadastronaut

are you sure you've wired the pots correctly....just a thought..

Transistor voltages look OK-ish.

It almost has to be miswiring, solder issue, or part orientation.

Does S1 do anything?

hello, thanx for replies,

i just triple checked, orientations, they are good as well as diodes and transistors,

ive done re-solder for cold joint etc but im gonna try again tonight, thanx for replies!

S1 doesnt do anything at all, it doesnt make even make a noise,

They're not perfect, but they will surely work better than no diode at all while you wait for the perfect diodes to arrive.

thank you so much everything working!
Hey! Great! Good work.

What was the problem? (it helps me guess at problems when I find out what things really were)

i think it was just bad soldering jobs, i dont know exactly where, since i resoldered around Q5 and Q3 again so

anyways, thank you so much! i learned lots!
