hi. I have built a Phase 45 from tonepad.com schematics: http://img225.echo.cx/img225/8839/pez3zn.jpg . Unfortunately it does not work. in output (b point), there are 0 V, and in the a point there are 3 v. I have tried to replace the cap but it does'nt work equally!

what could it be?!

thanks!

This should help 'What to do when it doesn't work', it is among the top posts.

it almost works now. transistors and Ics seems to work fine, and regulating the trim pot the sound changes... but the sound in exit does not swing.

I dont understand why... what could it be due to?

the phaze 45 requires that the Jfet's be matched, and there's a recent posts about the 45, including transistor #'s and odds thereof of getting matched pairs from batches.
I turned the speed pot most all the way up [least resistance], plugged in Jfet placement interviewees [tried different transistors, two at a time froma matched set of 6], then slowly tweeked the trimpot around the 1/2 way mark until sweep was heard...actually I had to connect pin 5 too

What kind of JFETs did you use? Also, as pete says, they need to be matched.
