Hello,
long time, no see.
Looks like there has been some good stuff going on around here!

Anyway, I was checking up on these Transformers, LT44's, and I see they are cheapos, so not sure about matching but................

:-D Hilarious.

That's very cool that a schem is coming up.  THere are some little things on the schem I'm not clear about , like what "DepthJOrange means".  Is the bottom section of the schem basically the LFO/VCO?  Because if so, I can try to start breadboarding it... just need the rotary switches...

This http://aronnelson.com/userfiles/RS%20v31.pdf is an updatet version. I've added tags that should make it more easy to read the schemo. All other markings are just added for reference and are either jumper wires in the layout, or wires leading to jacks or switches. Also the different sections are indicated more clearly now.

DepthJorange simply means the orange wire to the depth jack.

Would be cool if you could breadboard the wave shaper too.  8)

In the schemos I've posted E and C of all transistors are reversed. An updated schemo will be posted soon.

Here's an updated schem. After looking at some VCO schems I realised that there should be a gnd connexion at the VCO freq pot.  Missed a tiny trace, therefore the wave shaper did'nt work in the sims nor on breadboard. Now LFO+VCO+square wave shaper work on breadboard in all modes. After tweaking the trim pot I got a nice square wave on my software scope. Did'nt breadboard the remaining wave shaper section but the sims say it's OK.
In conclusion I'm quite sure that the schem is correct. However, the jacks should be checked by someone who has the orignal unit. Layout will be posted once it's verfied to be working.

No job is finished until the paper work is done.

The String Ringer (my Ring Stinger workalike) works and the project file (including layout, wiring,...) is also done. If you want a copy drop me a pm.

Actually, I would prefer to post the file. Unfortunately, the file is pretty big (~2.5 MB) even at standard pdf setting. So I don't know where to host it. If anyone has 2.5 MB of server space I would be happy.  :)

Regards,

Markus

Thanks a lot Markus!
Excellent work. This made deciding on my christmas project a no brainer
I love it when switching, pots etc are onboard, I mean, I like a lot of controls usually but really dislike wiring them.
Best!

Has anyone built this yet from the last layout posted here? I'm thinking to give it a try.

It looks to me like mouser's 42TM006 20K to 1K transformers would work?

I built v1.1 which was only slightly different in that the unused 1/2 opamp was'nt terminated properly. So I had to place two jumpers to correct this bug. In the v1.2 layout everything is the same, except these two jumpers are now replaced by traces.

Suppose, the tm006 should work.

Now I have a Christmas project.   ;)
