How do you get the white lettering ?? Is it something skillful like airbrushing ??

I use a computer controlled vinyl cutter and white (or other color) vinyl, then application tape it to the pedal and clear coat.

Wow!  I love the Sho and the Burn!!!!  Where are you getting access to this vinyl cutter?  They are so good looking!

Work related :) That technique limits the type of graphics though..only simple vector art & text but that's the way I like it!

That etch is superfly! I love how you left the swirls kinda aliased. Gives it some character  :)

It's an FV-1 based module, not officially released yet (so sales may not be happy I posted the picture, oh well). It will be available with different program sets, the mono reverb/delay set is the first one. Been working on it for weeks now (PCB design, program set code, example schematic) and just wanted to post something where other builders that can appreciate the time that goes into a new design can see it. The links in the post 2 posts under the picture are the preliminary data sheets for the module, program set and example schematic (as built in the photo).

A D*A*M "Sonic Titan", hence the name. Great sounding pedal!
I used Mike Livesley´s veroboard layout.

The finish is inspired by "mills" (wire) and "cloudscapes" (resin coating).
But I´ll never try to put polyester resin on hammerite again - after 4 days it´s still sticky, I hope it will ever dry...

It takes glaze a few days to cure properly & it depends on the temperature as well... warmer temp=cures faster. It will feel rubbery for awhile, but cures up nice.

Should be done by now... how did it turn out?

Hello,

QuoteOBW = Off Board Wiring!
Thank you ;)

QuoteWhat type of diodes is that in the original DOD pedal? Old blue-line japanese 1S???, or Schottkys?
Good question, I use 1N914 Silicon...

Quotehehe^^!

Danke!

QuoteI wanted to tell you: zhat iz very nize wörk zhere Magnüz (I don't speak German) wizh zhe kabel
Thank you  :)

Quotenice work....hey magnus do you think you can share with me a copy of the PCB layout??.. icon_redface icon_redface icon_redface
I share the most of my layouts, but this one took a lot of time and its my little goodie - you know  ;)

@Jaco P.: Great etching-job!

@Kabi: Nice work too  :)

@roseblod: Super geworden!

The other's work is also great!

Not bad  ;)
I really like your pedals John, they are over the top - inside and outside  ;)

So here's the next one, the legendary Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face (Germanium)
I built from an own layout based on the original pcb (if you look at the partside).
It is built in a metal-enclousure I prepared with real-wood-veneer (bookmatched)
and has the following mods:

- Germanium/Hybrid (use of two Germanium-Transistors or Germanium/Silicon)
- Smooth/Rough ("Smooth": Germanium-Diode from Emitter to Base / "Rough": Normal, without Diode)
- additional Bass-Control

The French connection

You could use that switch instead...
I know, but the pedal i built does not boost...it just increases volume!
