Brilliant on the slanted enclosure. I dig it.

Not really a pedal but it is in a 1590B: an active DI box/buffer (from the schematic shown here http://sound.westhost.com/project35.htm )

Spent 40 minutes with a file to getting that XLR jack to fit  :P

Ok here are some pics of the inside of the wedge cut. I kinda @#$%ed up with the redrilling of the holes so i improvised a solution by taking the excess cut off of the pedal and jb welded it in at the right angle for the screws.

Brilliant

Thanks for the kind words! I love to etch!

Arcane Analog, great looking builds.  Really digging those.

I used the same Gallifreyan symbol on my Sonic Screwdriver build.

Now I has wedge.  :D

Nice work john! I am curious to see how well your screw holes/threads came out.

John Lyons

I drilled the holes for the cut side but need to adjust and tap them for the slant/cutoff.
Need to tackle that tomorrow. Thanks for the inspiration by the way.  :icon_wink:
I have a couple boxes marked off to cut from more than a year ago but sidelined them
and they got buried under more pressing experiments.

I'm tempted to do that to a 1590a build. A WHOLE NEW LEVEL :icon_twisted:  I would have to figure out a new way to bypass though :-\

I thought millennium bypass was just a way to have an led indicator on a dpdt bypass. Plus do you think the tact would hold up?  I'm seriously considering doing this now :icon_twisted:

Need one of these in there but not sure how shallow you could go on the thin end of the enclosure... and yes about the millenium.

This is great. What tools do I need?!?! This would be great with those extra tall BBs or any extra tall enclosures.  This and Mac Walker makes me happy...

If you manage to actually do a wedge-shaped Maetro in a 1590A, I'll send you something nice. Not sure what. Handpainted enclosure or something.

Ok, done.
Had to mostly grind down the flange inside the box
since the holes on the thin side are now flush.
The corners of the thin side need to be completely flush on the lid.

Hack saw, vice, disk sander, belt sander, drill, 6/32 tap were
the tools I used.

^ That turned out fantastic.

Here's my idea for making the bypass for the slanted 1590a. It's going to take a little tedious fabrication but it should work.

Wow that turned out really nice and clean!!

I was thinking about making a stutter or tap tempo pedal in a 1590a with a slant for ease of use with your heel on the ground, and cause there are less parts to fit in the case
