using two red LEDs to make the tube glow is cheating!! ;)

Shocking.  There should be laws against this sort of thing.   >:(

How DO you get those 'vents' in the enclosure.

Very nice.

Thanks!
There are no two red LEDs in this pedal. There is 1 green and 1 red (or blue? I do not remember. I need to turn it on to see:)) LED. Green glows when pedal power is on. Blue lights up when the effect is active.
The holes are cut into the panel using laser cutting. Under the panel is a regular rectangular hole.

ElectricDruid

My apologies! I accuse you unjustly!

Using the different coloured LEDs to indicate the status of the effect is of course entirely legitimate!

Hang on a minute...how did I get myself into this mess? Am I turning into some weird no-artificial-tube-glow nazi? Is that even a thing?!

Lol...even a hobby like this is a minefield sometimes! ;)

Can I claim the same mitigation, please?  My "tube glow" only comes on when the effect is switched on.  ::)

Glowing tubes are passe, now it's this or nothing:

:)

(though when I saw this I did start thinking about a random trem/vibe effect using one...)

Holy cow! Nice build and what a sick looking exterior to boot!

alixxx

hylandren, I would like to see your crafts. Maybe I have something to learn from you about design...

willienillie

^ I think something is lost in translation.  "Sick" in this case is a compliment, but 25 years ago it wouldn't have been.  Modern English slang gets very strange sometimes.

alixxx

Oh understand.
English is not my native language, so I can understand poorly ...

There's a nice family resemblance emerging here.  Another great build.  :icon_cool:

My very first successful vero build! :D

It's a 1994 Green Russian Big Muff.
I added a boost / flat / scooped switch.
Transistors are BC550.

Nice neat build.  8)  But please put those serrated tooth washers inside the enclosure (so they bite into the aluminium) before my OCD goes into meltdown and my teeth fall out!   :o   ;D

Thanks bunny! Good idea! I'll to that! :D

khm9

Thanks to bluebunny's advice, I put the serrated tooth washers inside the enclosure.
I also noticed that one wire was missing, hence making the tone pot not work properly, so I fixed that too.

Now it's fully functional, and looks quite nice! :D
