I knew last year I would have to make a test / breadboard rig after looking at the
diyguitarist.com board
http://www.diyguitarist.com/DIYStompboxes/GEPB.htmAnd GEOFX
http://www.geofex.com/FX_images/protofx6.gifBut it was forumite dano12 that inspired me to get it done when he posted his test rig.
http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=42632.0I loved the use of terminal strips. Great idea !
Here is a pick of mine. A combination of the diyguitarist and dano12's versions.
I was going to build GEO's "quick and dirty" oscillator but my LES had a
pre-assembled kit for the same price as the parts.
I mounted a DC jack and put an LED in the terminal strip.
Building this reminded me of when I took a Japanese furniture building class.
I was all fired up to make a chair but first I had to make my mallet,
then my vise, and then my bench before they would even think of teaching me a chair.
There is an element of instant gratification with the projects at GGG and TP
but they got me to this point where I'm playing around with a breadboard.
If I had the benefit of an academic course, it probably would have started with a breadboard and not a PDF.
