To you, buffered bypass sucks tone.
To me, it sucks my balls.

First Pedal (Fuzz Pedal with a lot of cool tone/utility/sound modification features) I ever designed, built, and first PCB I ever etched.....not a 100% perfect execution but it works and sounds great and I used it at rehearsal last night as a regular sort of Fuzz and my god this thing kicks butt.

All that's left is some small tweaks and some graphics for it (I'm doing a Five Nights at Freddy's Themed graphics on this prototype, I named all the transistors after the animatronics during development to keep the gain stages straight in my head).  Some things I'm doing on the next revision is a better PCB (no scrub-etch method), simplified Momentary/Permanent switching scheme using 2 foot switches instead of 3, and proper taper pots (+ and - pots are to be Linear, not re purposed 1970's audio pots).

Plexi

Green Russian Muff.
A few extras:
- 3 clipping modes: Silicon, none, LED
- Mid bump switch

Buildtestrepeat

My old Valvecaster with graphics added that I didn't put on originally.

FINISHED!  For a guitarist with a Brunetti Singleman amp. We mailed a while, interviewed people with a similar setup (who in contrast to myself can play guitar well and have ears for pedals' sound details) and came up with a collection of possible matches. In the end, we settled on taking all of them.

NOw it is the CBS (clean booster, BYOC 27V Booster; switchable from first in the chain to last) ->  JRY (Jan Rayish Timmy) ->TMMY (guess!) -> Box of Rock (Drive side) -> DBS (dirty booster; SHO).

The enclosure is etched (I was afraid I wouldn't be able to control the process on such a huge surface but it is one of the best etches I ever made) and I am SOOO proud.

Man, Lars pedal is what I aspire to someday.

New pic of the Fuzz, did some debugging last night.  This is my own crazy circuit only slightly derived off the BazzFuss circuit (it's like 5 of them cascaded into each other in a way, but sort of not as well).  The artwork was done by me, by hand, with a sharpie and has a adhesive backed Lexan sheet over it.  Yes, it's FNaF themed, make of that what you will, it was a bit of an "in joke" of sorts when I was developing this thing.  Plan to make a video of it at some point in the near future now that people can actually see where the knobs are set now.

After primer... things are getting some "color"  ;D

Time spent: 1hours.
Time used painting: 15min
Time used cleaning the paint pistol: 45min

I guess the effort cleaning and waste of thinner worth if you will paint >15 enclosures of the same color.

No holes needed Ducky!   Plexi has figured out how to use "Mind Control" to make everything work..

That guy!!  :)

Nice work Plexi--

I do a lot of etching... I hate doing the prep (sanding the enclosures)....

I used to really be with it!  That is, until they changed what "it" is.  Now, I can't find it.  And, I'm scared!  --  Homer Simpson's dad
