I knew last year I would have to make a test / breadboard rig after looking at the
diyguitarist.com board
http://www.diyguitarist.com/DIYStompboxes/GEPB.htm
And GEOFX
http://www.geofex.com/FX_images/protofx6.gif

But it was forumite dano12 that inspired me to get it done when he posted his test rig.

I loved the use of terminal strips. Great idea !

Here is a pick of mine. A combination of the diyguitarist and dano12's versions.
I was going to build GEO's "quick and dirty" oscillator but my LES had a
pre-assembled kit for the same price as the parts.
I mounted a DC jack and put an LED in the terminal strip.
Building this reminded me of when I took a Japanese furniture building class.
I was all fired up to make a chair but first I had to make my mallet,
then my vise, and then my bench before they would even think of teaching me a chair.
There is an element of instant gratification with the projects at GGG and TP
but they got me to this point where I'm playing around with a breadboard.
If I had the benefit of an academic course, it probably would have started with a breadboard and not a PDF.  :icon_redface:

Yes this is a ScrotoTone. I built it for my friend, it is a BSIAB from GGG and parts from Small Bear and Mouser. It was a favor and it of course took a long time to get operational. This is the second BSIAB that I built and I must tell anyone that has not heard it to build one. Great sound with S/C as well as H/B's.  I had a cold solder joint in a cap that took me hours to find. I mean hours. Next build will not be a marathon session on a weeknight.

Next up is a Rodent (also from GGG, small bear and Mouser), I want to do some of the mods also that I have seen on the web. Then I will install three in one enclosure and swing from the trees.

You can probably only play Hava Nagila on it :icon_lol: :P

But seriously, that certainly is a tight fit. Great job on that.

In Thai language ,The word " Jew " is like very small.....

They have 7 knobs. (EQ Tone stack 3 knobss :bass mid low: + Preamp 2 knobs :Level Gain: + Poweramp 2 knobs)

And 4 Swichs for Bypass, power ON-OFF , EQ on-off , Drive or Clean.

It certainly tight fit then i use a soft, short and little wire to wiring circuit.

;D  Thank you...

Great build, but we are not in Thailand. FWIW I find the name offensive.

Thailand is on the WWW, so we kind of are.

Well, you based it on the pronouncication, right? Then call it Chu-Amp or Chew-Amp. Sounds the same and hopefully doesn't offend anyone.

Bingo
Now back to naming pedals good wholesome names like Scroto Tone.  :icon_wink:

I would just like to say 10 years ago I biked through Thialand and the people are the warmest and friendliest folks on earth. There was no end to their hospitality. I was, however, advised not to display the bottoms of my bare feet because it's offensive there. It's all about tolerance. Sorry if I sounded intolerent of your pedal or Thailand. It was intended as a suggestion. To this day I thank the Aussie who gave me the advice in Thailand.

You know what I'm thinking... you should strike back with a BARE FEET MODULATOR pedal. ;D

Ok, moving on from the name, how does she(or he) actually sound? Is that a 1/2 watter? Where did you get the schematic from? I had a look on Zvex's site, and it says its distorted. True ou non?

May I congratulate you on a superb project. Ab fab! ;D

It's all about tolerance.
Maybe on the flip side.  Not showing your bare feet, and not naming a pedal in a way that may be offensive to some, is really all about sensitivity.

He called the amp jew...I dont see whats offensive about it.....if he called it evangelical....would anyone be offended? How about gishnu? What if he put an inverted cross tubeholder on it? Or called it Judas?

I dont see any negative connotations simply calling the amp jew.....its not as if he is going to blow it up....or is making any joke about the old jewish stereotype of penny pinching....

::)

I think its rather ridiculous.....
