Sorry for the late reply, but I feel I need to ask a question. The jacks on your wooden enclosures, whould those be lumberjacks?

ps. I can't believe I had to scan back 50 pages so I could find your image and post a bad joke.

Good job magnus ! It seems that in addition you work very fast... Maybe you can save enough time to ! (chance...)
Does it sounds finally... "acceptable" with these BC108 ?

Well, I don't no who has handmade that "wooden" stompbox - but that's so nice that I wouldn't put on the floor, indeed.

A+!

Can we post here the pedals we make for the 666 competition, or do we have to wait?

Hi guys. This is my latest project: 8 channel looper.
The input signal can be routed to only one output channel by pressing its
control button. Turning on a channel disconnects the previously active
channnel and etc. You can have only one active channel at a time.

Here I use simple cmos switching logic with 4013 and true bypass relay control.

I make this device for Bart at http://www.effectsdatabase.com/

Thanks Nikolay, great work!

I needed this kind of big A/B/C/D/E/F/G/H-switch to easily compare pedals at home, my workshops or mini-expositions. I'll probably order a few more :D

Sorry, I don't have the possibility to record any soundfiles,
because I sold my Interface (Line6 Toneport), but I think it sounds typically,
a little bassy, rough and some dirt - but I like it, very special  ;)

I don't think that I work fast, but I started building many pedals together
and if one is finished, the next one is finished some days later...

Yes, I got an matched pair and it sounds like I described above...

This one?
http://forum.musikding.de/cpg/albums/userpics/17258/Woodface_2.jpg

I made this enclosure, its a hammond-enclosure with real wood-veneer (bookmatched)
and I am very carefull using it because it was really much work to get it nice and clean!

The wooden enclosures from John Lyons were my inspiration
to do something like that and I must say it again - great work John!

Hello,
so here's the next one, a Gretsch Controfuzz-Clone - sounds crazy  ;D
All knobs on ten and you can use your guitar-volume for many different sounds...

Ingredients:

- Metal-Resistors
- Silver-Mica Cap
- Panasonic FC-Electrolyte
- Panasonic SMF-Caps
- Cornell Dubilier-Caps
- 1N4001-Diodes
- LM358N-IC

If somebody is interested on layouts here are my layouts,
they're mostly verified (if not there's an info "not verified"):
http://forum.musikding.de/cpg/thumbnails.php?album=131

And here are the pcb-Files:

Sorry, in my galery is a mix of english and german...

For sure ! Your "wood-plated" box is awsome - The glueing has probably been tough to made regular, with no humps or cracks. I remember trying painfully to do this on oukoume plywood to make it nicer, before finally switching on solid maple (Hi-Fi Spkrs enclosures) !

I agree, indeed...

I have the schematic, but it seemed "odd" to me for a release, but - I should reconsider my view, just for a trial.
Nonetheless, I will have a look to your gallery - no matter if it is a de-uk mix language.

Far less crazy than your ControFuzz in terms of distortion - here's my Magic Box II : a smooth vintage overdrive, with sustain, unaggressive because of a low amount of IMD in the sound, nonobstant the settings. Perfect for blues playing (i.e. on a Silverface Twin-Reverb), very nice with a wah in front (i.e. a Colorsound). Nonetheless, don't expect huge overdrive from it : it hasn't been designed for - only smoothness ! suitable to push a good tube amp into regular sustain and decay overdriven tone. Here's the box :

And here's the schematic - sorry, it's in French :

Nowadays, I am concentrating on wahs... When I have the time to. Wait and See...

A+!

Hi! Pin 6 of uncommitted IC2 should be connected to VCC/2 (instead of ground) for optimal termination (more here). T.
