Hi, I just dug up my ol' wah pedal after a discussion at AX84. Take a look at the schematic and tell me what you think:

Alright, firstly, the "NC" means "no connection". There is one more pot in the chassis, I have rebuilt that one into a regular output vol. control. I have a feeling that the "NC" was connected to that pot before.

Oh, !!NB!! The polarised cap on the NC is the other way round. It was a typo.

Could anyone explain the second half of the circuitry to me? It possesses the tone knob but is not connected to the main circuitry, besides the "NC".

The circles are the transistors? What about the black circle?
This looks strange to me, the second part is not connected to anything!?

The circles are transistors, I couldn't identify the connectors. The black circle is a black transistor, rest are metal-cased. :D

And the second part seems wierd to me too...
