Just wanted to know how many of you mount bias pots externally on your boxes. I was looking for some smaller trimmer pots, you know, the ones with the plastic splined shafts so you can grip them. I haven't seen too many boxes with bias trimmers mounted on the outside. I assume that most of you are using the bias pots by ear and not by voltage alone. Seems like it would be easier then opening the box if it needed adjustment.

I started presetting the gain 'pot' on FF's with a fixed resistor [or two], then using the guitar or input gain mod...
And using that pot space for a bias trim, I like it set up that waym the bias knob is altered so that it slightly gates the transistor to mainly adjusting loudness at the other end of it's travel.
This 'sponge' control makes it easier for me to dial knobs in to work well at different volumes.
Switches are EZ wire and small, I use them for input gain mod. or voicing mod or pregainvoicing mod, and curcuit gain mod..not all on the same FF of course.
I like hitting a switch to alter the voicing or gain.
