This is not a joke and Aron gave the approval. Here's the deal.

I'm a small pedal builder just starting out. I need a name for a tremolo pedal I'm building and I'm looking to the forum members for help. I will leave his post open for ideas until 9/15/05. After that, I will go through the list and choose five names. Those five name will then be put in a polling post and voted on by forum members. The polls will close on 9/22/05 and the pedal name with the highest votes wins. The winner then will receive $50 from me.

What's the catch you ask?[/i] - The name you submit cannot be used by another company or product. I'd like to avoid a lawsuit if at all possible.

How do you know you'll get paid?[/i] - As we all know, bad news travels fast on the internet. It would not do me any good as a new builder (or an established one for that matter) to not follow through. Not to mention that this post/contest could probably very easily be used against me in a court of law. The $50 prize will be sent to the winner as a money order via Certified Mail.

While most of my pedals have been named, I still have one or two that have not. Depending on how this goes, I may run this contest again. Thanks for taking the time to read this post and good luck!

Can you describe us some of your tremolo characteristics? It's better if the name suits somehow the sound or style of the pedal (I think)

Luck!

Tremulator - Demeter has already used this name.
Vibrathing - DOD has the Vibro Thang, a little too close.
Cool a shaker - There's a band named Kula Shaker
Wobulator - Software company in Cambridge, UK.

These rest are on the list!

petemoore

What exactly does it do, how many shapes of tremolo does it make?
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

The pedal is somewhere between a Fender brownface and blackface tremolo. Not pitch-shifting like the Magnatone.
