I know most of you here make your own PCBs or use perf or strip board.  But if you have the inclination, I'd like to invite you to buy a PCB, stompbox or tee-shirt from General Guitar Gadgets on September 15th or 16th (this coming Thursday and Friday), get the goods AND donate to the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.  100% of proceeds going to http://bushclintonkatrinafund.org/

I hope this post is acceptable and within the rules of the forum.

Thanks!

OK, but he said on "September 15th or 16th (this coming Thursday and Friday)"

Gives me some time to decide.

I agree..Ill order then. That is how he said to do it. I like to make my own now but JD does make some great boards! And it gives me till then to decide which boards are the most pain the arse to build and thatll be the one ill order. :)

Its for a great cause too. I still cant believe how generous JD is being!! But , then again, he's been very fair and generous w me over the last few years..

Very Good Point! I'm in the US so it doesn't affect me but for you other folks..... I normally perf everything, although I did order a PT-80 board from JD a couple yrs. ago, I think I will look over the available RTS PCB's and order something next week. Great cause and VERY GENEROUS and thoughtful of JD! 8)  Man, those poor people on the Gulf Coast.

Hi guys, thanks for the interest.  Tom, thanks for the support!  I'll move your order to next Thursday :-)  I gave a lot of consideration on the timing of this thing.  I waned to give plenty of advance notice, but not so much that I would go broke waiting for the days to arrive.  I anticipate (hoping) that I won't sell much Monday -Wednesday next week, while everyone waits for Thursday to arrive.

1) For those of you concerned with time zone considerations, just shoot me a note and let me know that your order was intended for the charitable contribution. As long as you're somewhere close to Thursday or Friday, that's cool.  I _think_ no matter where you are, if you order on Thursday evening (your time) you'll be ok.

2) I usually ship (USPS) within 24 hours of the time the order was placecd, but if I'm overwhelmed with orders, there may be some delays getting them out, most likely won't get everything shipped out right away.

Thanks!

Hello again everyone, glad to see the site is back up here.

I thought I'd post a follow-up to this thread.  The Katrina Relief Drive at General Guitar Gadgets was a _Huge_ success!

Thanks so much to all who contributed.  We sold 10 stompboxes and over 50 ready-to-solder PCBs.  To set the comparison, this is far over 10 times more volume that we would do on a average normal two-day period.

Preliminary total to be donated is $2,187.00!  I'll post more details on the site after the dust clears.

Thanks!
JD
