Yeah, it is !   it was an old Peavey EAC8 a relay switching unit, which had 8 jack sockets
on top ( hence the extra hole ! )
It's almost as big as 2x 1590BB's side by side and about 7mm deeper.
The bottom section is a kind of battleship grey, so I'm leaving that.
I wish i had some more, its a great box :-(

Marty, how do those 'rub-on' decals work then?  I'm after an easy way to get white text onto a black enclosure.

They're made by "DECAdry" and come in various sizes/designs at about 2 bucks a sheet.
You get about 10 of each letter plus some punctuations  etc.
You line them up ( fiddly !) and rub over them with a soft pencil, they stick to the surface.
You pencil rub over again with some greese proof paper, then Laquer  they stick quite well !
I have some in black/white and gold

How does that SPDT / cap change works (as in wich ones, how it changes the sound)?

47n cap after the condors fet, down to a 22n or maybe 15n, just "thins it" a bit at
input, i was finding it a bit "fat" sounding.
I may put on the Marshall cap switch as well.

That's very odd ! did you change anything from the schem ?
Mine is quite a big tone and not at all "bright" enough, I love it though :D
I noticed that you thought it "breaks up" and isn't good for a clean tone, i don't
have that problem even with HB guitars .... ?  problem perhaps ?

No, I did not change anything.... I only removed the FET due to the distortion, but that leaves it "ball-less"; I already have gotten a fixing idea (check my other post about the H&K)
