These foolios have been playing around Fresno CA for about 100 years, & this one dude Brian Kenney uses the Stick on lots of their tunes.. I lived there around '91-94 & used to go see them in clubs all the time. Sort of like King Crimson meets the Grateful Dead at Larry, Moe & Curly's house. Definitely not the "new-age jazz suckiness"... although he used to do solo gigs of that sort of thing, not sure about now. I ran across him playing solo in the Fresno Art Museum once in '94, just standing in a corner of one of the galleries knocking out the jazz stuff.
