Since reading (and posting in) the recent thread on the subject of breadboards, and how some folks had some difficulty learning how to use them, I happened to stumble on this...

http://www.play-hookey.com/analog/experiments/non-inverting_amplifier.html

It's a Java app that shows how to put all the components in, one at a time, to assemble a non-inverting amplifier on a breadboard. There's also similar pages for an inverting amplifier and a summing amplifier along with some other stuff, too. Cool!

Super!
Actually, I think that the breadboard applet sucks, BUT the info on the site is presented in a very clear, structured way. In fact, that's why I didn't like the applet. Because reading all the text before using it, I expected something as educational as the text.

Great link anyway!
Thanks.

QuoteIn addition to the parts you have already installed, you will need two (2) 15K, 1% precision resistors (brown-green-black-red) during the course of the experiment

I checked out that site too.  in the above quote, isn't the correct color sequence  brown-green-orange-and for red, that would be 2%, right?
