zvex wooly mamoth

i just heard this on the zvex site, and it soudns incredible with guitar!
unfortunately its way out of my price range, what combination of more commercially available pedals might be able to reproduce a wooly mamoth like harmopnically rich low end distortion?

also, any diy projects worth looking at?
