I just built a pasive EQ for my bass guitar, the diagram is this:

The problem is that I would like to change the frequencies to 50Hz and maybe 3Khz, the other problem is that output seems to get lower when I use it but with the stock tone control the bass gets louder, right now I'm using EMG's actives with 18v this means that I'm supposed to have enough headroom. Can someone help me with this or maybe recommend me another circuit or give me some advice to improve the actual circuit. I would like to keep using a pasive circuit because my pickups are already actives.

Cheers,

Also it smells like a loading issue; make sure you don't have any excessive voltage divider action happening or you can see your signal cut like a mofo.
Passive sucks.

Passive tone control circuits alway attenuate the input signal. The gain will always be less than 0dB.
As you can see that the voltage is devided by those passive components, no matter what pickup you use.
you can add a amplifier right after the output to increase the level a little bit..
I DIY therefore I am.
