I want to try the Bazz Fuzz from Runoff Groove:

I only have on hand PNP transistors. If I use one, do I need to do anything different with the diode?

I assume you can tell I'm fairly new at this.

Thanks, Bill

I've tried a PNP Bazz Fuss using a 2N5087.  As you guessed, the diode polarity must be reversed.  You can reverse the input cap as well, though it has worked fine either way for me.

Welcome to the hobby, and best of luck!

Thanks for the quick response! I'll see how it goes. My biggest problem is wiring. I never get it right the first time.
