Has anybody tried this? Is it possible?

I think most of you mainly use the SansAmp with an amp (like me) so this might be a good idea to try. Anyone?

The circuit between S1A and S1B seems to do the trick. You can try to put a wire between S1A en S1B, or leave the switch out. I think you have to experiment a bit.....

well, you could try that, but I think you'd be quite dissapointed. Without the filter section the gt-2 would be painfully shrill and thin sounding -IMHO the distortion section on it's own is pretty lackluster and not worth separating from the rest.

modifying the filter section is probably the way to go

I agree very much.  After going to the trouble of making a Sans Amp, I hardly ever use it because the speaker simulator is the only decent bit.  I think that the distortion bits are inferior to effects such as fuzz faces, TS9s, and even mediocre effects such as the Distortion+.  But each to their own taste....
