I don't trust their stuff based on the reviews on MF and through the grapevine.  I checked out a bass limiter and it seems flimsy and the switch even sketchier.  But, I don't need anything hi-fi, just something to put a clamp on my uglyface and TSA outputs.  I'm not all that concerned about the switch because it will basically stay on all the time.  And I like the price- $29.  I'm not going to be spending $75+ on a DOD/Digitech or Boss.  So, that being said, anyone have any of their pedals?  Work well?  Low noise?  Battery life?

I have about 5 of the pedals, the usual phaser/flanger/chorus/graphic eq and the a/b sw.
They're ok for the price, they will do bar gigs fine, not any noisier than any other pedal,I returned a few too that I did not like how they sounded or worked like the noise gate and the hellbabe.
Also returned the GT2 clone but not for any reason except that I have a GT2 so .........

just curious aharon ... if you already had a gt-2, why did you pick the behringer clone up? how did it sound in comparison? it is amazing that they can get the price this low ...

My Berhinger Phaser is noisy (hiss).
The Flanger is silent (no hiss) but it can produce a "whomp, whomp whomp" when the MODE knob is up to high.
Might try out the delay if my LMS ever gets one.
It's time to buy a gun. That's what I've been thinking.
Maybe I can afford one, if I do a little less drinking. - Fred Eaglesmith

I have a tremolo and it doesn't sound so bad, I just don't like totally plastic box, I took it with me in some gigs but it gives me a bit of anxiety to step on...

Hey theman,I made one and I wanted to compare,I detected a little better bass response with mine but I used primo chips, could be that. The price was too tempting but then I wasn't convinced, and the switch looked flimsy (it's a different box than te boss look-alikes).
It sounded good tho'.I would say 95% as good as mine.
I also have 3 whas but I still picked up a hellbabe just to see, returned it the next day.

hey aharon,

that's really a funny coincidence since i almost went down the same path. i made a gt-2 (using tonepad pcb) with also premium components -- metal film resistors, polyester caps, etc. i was thinking of getting the behringer clone just to see how close it would get. i guess i know now. btw, i used a ne5532 for ic1 and a tlc2262ip for the others. the ne5532 has more clarity, articulation, and better frequency response than the tl072 which is what is suggested and is used in the original.

Thanks for the tip,I'll try that and do a listening test........... :icon_mrgreen:

I got 3 from the Manchester Guitar Show in May as at just over £10 each I thought I'd try them. I got the Bass Overdrive, the limiter and the guitar graphic equaliser. All 3 sound fine but I don't like the plastic boxes, they do seem a bit flimsy.
I thought I'd have a look inside and removed the screws but I think the knobs are glued on as I couldn't pull them off to open them. I did prise one open a bit and could see real transistors and ICs rather than SM stuff but couldn't see what caps and resistors were in there. The graphic EQ is really good and has a permenant place in my pedal chain now.

Hi.
I bought an A/B pedal new for OZ$29 (about US$21).
I wanted to use it to switch through 2 banks of pedals, but it doesn't ground the unswitched input.  Also, it uses active buffers, so you con't use it before a fuzzface.
The cases are flimsy, but for home use they're probably ok.

The market here has just been flooded with Daphon brand pedals.  Cheap as Behringer, but I think they have diecast boxes.
cheers
