with regards to the NPN booster, can i use a 33uf capacitor instead of a 22uf? will this affect the sound?

The circuit was designed so only the resistors had to be the same as on the schematic.
At the time it was designed radio shack had most of the parts.
The caps and transistor can be changed to taste.
