I made a millenium bypass board with BS170 mosfet, as I had these 2PDT switches lying around anyway.
Easy enough, right. But is there a way to debug the board by itself. Just want to make sure I wired it up correctly before I start attaching it to the switchpoles etc?

Also want to make sure the brightness is right, but not sure whether this is at all possible  ???
This still kind of puzzles me.

Connect it up to your battery/PSU and ground the gate of the FET (or its wire) to see if it turns off.  Adjust the current limiting resistor to vary brightness.
