The transformer's would be toast. That might be one of the biggest cost involved (and your time). I would think all the caps would need to be replaced. Maybe some blown transistors if it's been turned on or was on when it went under water. All the boards would need to be thoroughly cleaned. It being submersed in salt water it's a good chance that all the wiring would be corroded and need to be replaced. It might be cheaper to tell Manley that this item was in Katrina and damaged as a result. Maybe they would take pity on it and restore the unit for a grand or two (parts and barely any labor)?

I get the picture.  It does break my heart to see such things ruined like that.

Now that I think about it, there's no way that guy didnt have insurance on his studio.  He's just trying to make some extra money off the top of his policy.  Hell, I have 25k coverage on my modest setup.  So if one of the kids decides to eat breakfast on top of my PEK, it'll only cost 250 bucks to replace it.   :icon_mrgreen:
