Hi just got finished building the El Griton 2.2 box. To start with I didn't have a 20K pot so I used a 25K pot (I ordered a 20K). Also I did not have any 510K resistors so I used 470K until I get some 510Ks. I didn't have .22mf tants so I used polyfilm caps for now. My problem is that I have limited or reduced output when the pedal is on. The tone control and drive control work as well as the output. It's just that there is not enough output. Battery voltage is 8.79 v. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

poly caps are higher quality than tantals, you may leave them (I did on mine). Check for component values you used, especially resistors. You may have put larger resistor somewhere. Or try swapping IC/trannies.

If it sounds good, just quiet - check the resistors in the output buffer. Of the top of my head I believe the 808 version uses 10k/100. When I first made mine I accidentally used a 100k resistor in place of the 100ohm. :icon_redface:

Good luck! ;)
