Built, but working oddly
« on: October 01, 2006, 02:22:20 AM »
I finally got the beginner project built, but though I have wired the pot properly according to the pic in another thread that Aron posted, but when I run through the effect, I get great signal.... exactly the same unaffected signal as I get on bypass. also, the pot has no effect on the signal, no matter how much i turn. here are some replies to some answers i know i'll get:

1) no, i didn't wire the switch wrong because i left it out, wired the circuit direct as always on

2) yes, i put the 47u cap on the pot between lugs 1 and 2.

any help?

Let's think about this. If you have exactly the same signal, then you have a short from the input to the output somehow. Sounds like it, since the volume pot has no affect on the sound.
