LOGO needed

My first take.  Tell me what you guys think!
It's not perfect, pretty rough.  Just whipped it up.

Looks good, altho my first impression thought it said
"Aron's Stompboxes.com"  but the cable border and effect boxes
for the DIY letters is cool.

i was thinking just have a stompbox with the letters squeezed into it in a cool way.  that or one stompbox per letter.  that way utilizing all of the cool shapes people use.

Cool ideas all around.
I like the logos so far.
the idea with DIY spelled IN the stompboxes is cool, maybe simplify the rest of it?
Some things I always consider when envisioning a logo:

- should convey the main message very simply and be very easy to read

- as above, should be able to scale down to a very small size and retain readability

- should have interesting balance of dark and light to imprint on the brain of the viewer (golden ratio applies here)

I am learning to crawl in mac works etc so forgive my primitive skills...

Well I got class in the morning but I just got a copy of Photoshop CS3 installed and I've been needing a reason to use it. Don't make any decisions until I submit a design, I'll most definetly try to integrate something that is essential to DIY'ers. I'll sleep on it and try to come up with something in my free time tomorrow.

Sidenote: These engineering classes are getting pretty intense... 6 hours of studying a day, 3-4 times a week is a pretty serious commitment  . It's all been worth it so far though as I always find myself asking questions the teachers can't answer (like what's the forward voltage drop on huge zener diode a teacher brought into class  ) and correcting mistakes, plus Electronics 1 is a breeze.
