Avr studio or stk500 problem

Hey guys, I was going to program an AVR with some code i've been working on and i hadnt used the stk 500 yet, so i updated the firmware and that went fine, when i try to program the avr i keep getting an error that says something liek this:

"A problem occurred when executing the command. See the command output for more information"



then it lists a bunch of quick tips and i checked all those and the troubleshooting guide and everything seems to be fine.
I am using the latest version of all the software, AVR studio and winAVR. the chip itself is an Atmega8535.

i running this on a mac through boot camp but i have never read of this issue before.

i know this is super vague but i dont have anything else to go off of


any help would be appreciated.

nevermind, it works in HV programming. so ill just use that.

Check you don't have spyware/malware or other strange stuff in your computer. They can cause some strange issues with AVR Studio 4 (I found that on AVR Freaks forum and experienced it myself!)
