It should work right? Maby add a bit more low end but that it right?

I thought this forum was just for the NPN boost by Gus Smally. I have built it a few times on the bread board. I have only one parts substituion in question. My problem is it cuts the high end off and only boosts a little when I move the 5k pot quickly to the max setting. I have tested the trasister its good. My voltages are Base 2 Emitter 2 Collecter 8.

There's a 22uF capacitor.

OK, well there's still a wiring or soldering problem. The voltages are not correct. Triple-check your work and post pics of front and back if possible.
