question about GGG mod wha

I have it built. I used my dearmond Vol./ wha shell,and pot and inductor. The input vol. trim works, I have the cap selector figured out but the Q factor control doesnt want to work. [R7B]      The 33k across the inductor doesnt seem to do any good, connected or disconnected. Has any body had any experience with this one?
