Yeah, they do some beautiful work there. Very tasteful.

I couldn`t say for sure whether or not they use the photo-resist method but it would certainly be a good way to achieve sharp, detailed and easily repeatable designs.

I'm not sure if Moollon etches or engraves. It seems to me to get that much detail at that level of perfection they probably use some sort of CNC engraver. I wonder if you could do it with Craftsman's new CompuCarve?
If it ain't broke...   ...it will be soon.

That would make more sense for any type of production work as such.

Advantage: you can use the same transparency for a lot of boxes.
Disadvantage: the photoresist spray doesn't smell very healthy. So good ventilation is necessary.

i looked into laser engraving once. after all of the establishing fees and transferring your cad file over, they worked out to be like AU$40 each in a small quantity of about 25 to do deep enough to fill with paint. and there's no fun in that! i got one done with only two traces and it wasn't deep enough to fill with paint.

photo resist seems like a real pain, but then it seems like it would be really reliable too.
