I found here how to "read" condenser(for example 103 is 10000 and 6 decimals back and thats .01mF).Now,how I can read the 30pF,100pF and 470pF condensers? Is the 30pF condenser .0001mF?And does it writes on condenser 470p or 30p?'Cause I found ceramic condenser and on it is jg 470p. ???I'm confused. Please help me!

I found it.And,if i'm right,the 470pF is 471 condenser.Is it?

You're right, it's 471. Here is my favorite calculator (if you got to the index they have all kinds) http://www.electronics2000.co.uk/calc/calccap.htm
If it ain't broke...   ...it will be soon.

What about these? THe guy running the auction says they're 470pf- but shouldn't the code read 471?

The 470 printed on them would make me think 47p, but I'm not certain.  ???

I would think the same... and normally this manufacturer prints the actual value where that 470 is printed...
Heres the auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/10pcs-Wima-FKC-2-470pf-400v-Tube-Amp-Capacitor_W0QQitemZ270158550223QQihZ017QQcategoryZ40113QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

If you are interested in the auction, I would send him a message and as if he is sure it is 470pf 47 and if he's not sure as him to measure them w/a DMM. Or just look up some wima info. Looking at his auctions he seems pretty competent.

The "1" is so uncommon these days, that I haven't seen it in several years. All my pico's are called 250, 470, etc.

So yeah, these are 99,9% 470pF's. You can check out Wima's datasheet for proof.

Kind regards, Jake

They are 470pf.
I think 100pf is the smallest wima.
Byt im sure these are 470pf.

From Wima site:

Wima FKP02
Polypropylene (PP) Film and Foil Capacitors
for Pulse Applications in PCM 2.5 mm
Marking:
Colour: Red. Marking: Black. Epoxy resin seal: Yellow.
470p, 400V, 10%

They do not list 471p for any type. All are 470p.

Btw the difference among the different types is the color of thr marking ink.

Peace

Edit: Wima site sez 100pf to .01uf available. 47pf not listed.

if the 470 was followed by a "p" I'd say those box caps where 470pF... but as they are, I'd think they're 47pF as well.
