 Hello!

Yesterday was my first pedalboard born (50cm, 4.2Kg, healthful :icon_mrgreen:)!

It should be temporary only until I finish something bigger (some pedals are not even mine), but I've started to like it immediately a lot :)

Bit more pics & info here..

Cheers, T.

Is it just wire insulation on pot shafts on the bakery pedal? In any case it looks cool.

Regards

Hi Carsten! Yes, it's a heat-shrink tubing and it's called knob socks! :icon_mrgreen: Thanks! T.

Ok so after my last band folded (amicably) i had no need for a pedalboard of this http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n121/knealebrown/IMG_0226.jpg size so i got the beers in formed a plan and heres my results.

The 1590a box is a stratoblaster i use as a pre amp, the orange one is a orange squeezer and the large red one is a modded trotski drive. The TS9 i use as lead and is in a loop with the phaser, delay and tremolo this means i only have the wah, pre amp, comp and Reverb inline for clean signals. Im also using jack ormans super buffer after the 'verb but it wouldn't fit on the board.
The board itself is homemade from an old guitar case :D

Would you be willing to sell your old one?

I figure it's about time I toss my latest pedalboard revamp into this thread. I was playing around with my new phone's camera, and some pics came out ok (for a camera phone...):

aaand, one for clarity:

http://i.imgur.com/4xVp3.jpg

Bottom row, right to left: Amp switch/AB box > Polytune > Black Finger Tube Comp > Gristleizer > Holy Grail Nano > BMP w/ Ge diodes and AMZ presence control > Hot Silicon Fuzz > OHS (I didn't have a 5kC, so a 5kA wired backwarf would have to do...hence the name)

All that goes into the Sansamp into my 30w combo, and the DD-20 is in the FX loop.

*edit* linked since I can't resize the pics easily :)

how's the polytune? worth it?

For me, absolutely, especially in the band I do lead vocals in. It's much faster for figuring out which strings are off in the middle of a performance, when I don't really have much time to look down at my board.

Some people like to whine that it's not accurate enough. To that, the only real response I have is that the guitar is a massively flawed instrument when it comes to intonation. If your open string is off by an almost-imperceptible amount because of your tuner, and you can't compensate with your hands, you should practice more.

It is a bit slower than other tuners I've used on individual string mode, but for me, the poly mode more than makes up for it.

Well, here's my board. Nothing too unusual. I like the case. I started with an old small piece of luggage. I replaced the hinges with breakaways and the latches with some scavenged big old things. I wired up a "boxless" foot-switched master volume. Note: Once I used this set up for a while I removed the metal bar shown in the pic that operates the master volume and PQ-3B pedal simultaneously. I found that I can press both at once without it. That way I get another gain setting as well by engaging the EQ without the master volume. That may make sense to some of you... BTW, I really like the way it all sounds.

Behringer PH9 Phase Shifter
Behringer DC9 Compressor

trad3mark

hahaha ckyvick your board needs moar knobs! lol! looks awesome though!

here's mine as of today:

Peavey Rotor EX with GFS Crunchy Rails (Guitar) > Digitech Whammy 4 > ohnoho's Blowing Up > EHX Big Muff Pi (w/Tone+Wicker) > eighty seven percent Cannon (Germ Big Muff) > eighty seven percent SnapToGrid (feedback loop) + Behringer FX600 on Delay > Korg MiniKP > Vox AD30VT

I'm working on 2 other pedals to add to it at the moment. one called De Stijl, which is a simulator of a Silvertone 1485, and the other is called HyperArchitecture, which is based on a Fuzz Factory, except with more gain, and doesn't oscilate. It's a really fun board to play on. I only got the Blowing Up today, and it's super loud fun! Worth every cent of the $100. Plus, it's got a @#$%ing dinosaur on the front!
