Replacement Transistor?
« on: January 15, 2008, 12:54:19 PM »
I'd like to try different NPN transistors in this circuit although when i try some of them they sound realy bad.
I thought maybe that's because might need different bias?
Is there a general rule i can use to be able to try different transistors by adding a trimpot for bias or do i need to replace more then one resistor?
Would this work in all (most) circuits?

Most Si small signal transistor should "bias up" with this circuit.
Take the voltages of the bad and good sounding transistors.  Battery, Collector, Emitter and Base
