What'd you use for a stomp switch?  That enclosure is a harddrive right?  I've thought about using one myself, but it appears to be too shallow to make the stomp switch etc fit.

yep, it's a hard drive. you may use a regular dpdt or 3pdt stomp switch, just flip the bottom cover, and there's a mounting hole for the motor at the bottom, keep it open to save more space for button's legs.
it was tricky to install input and output jacks, i used these:
