Tonepad's Big muff help2 and Runoffgroove's UNO help

The parts list in tonepad's bigmuff layout doesnt list a 1M resistor...but the layout has a 1M resistor in red ink at the lower left corner of the circuit board layout...what doea this mean??? here's the link:

Problem 2:  I just finished building the circuit board for runoffgroove's UNO which is a mesaboogie mark1 in a box...As i finished I couldn't find the offboard wiring layout for the circuit...and I don't know how to read schematics.  How will I wire the potentiometers???  Help please...here's the link:

It's used to reduce popping when switching the effect on/off.  You may or may not need it.  The circuit'll work whether it's there or not.

Comparing the layout and PCB, it looks like:

R20 is the Master Volume. Lug 1 (CCW) connects to the 'Gnd' trace, the center lug to the 'Out' trace, and Lug 3 (CW) to the trace that connects to C13.

R8 is the Treble pot. Lug 1 (CCW) to the trace to C5/R21, the center lug to the trace to R10, and Lug 3 (CW) to the trace to C4.

R21 is the Bass pot. Lug 1 (CCW) to trace to R9, Lugs 2 and three to trace to R8.

R9 is the Mid pot. Lug 1 (CCW) to the 'Gnd' trace, 2 and 3 to the trace to R21.

R4 is the Gain (Volume) pot. Lug 1 (CCW) to the 'Gnd' trace, center lug to the trace to C2, and Lug 3 (CW) to the trace to R5/Q2. This is the only one wired 'out of order'.

I think this is correct...

upon following your instructions I regret to say that the circuit did not work...Im not sure where the source of error is from but I will test further...

Ok, you've reached the debugging stage. Read the thread towards the top of the list titled "DEBUGGING" and post your results here.

I've had the schematic read...and what I did was right according to her...how does the trim pots of the UNo function...runoffgroove doesn't complete the information on their projects...here's the lay out...
