Well we could help with the issue...
If you post the link correctly! ;)

oups.. sorry. Fixed now!  :P

artifus

have you tried a small resistor in series with the troublesome pot?

Thanks I have to try that.. but for now I'm too lazy to rip it up and start debugging  :-\
I may put it up on the breadboard later trying to refine it..

Hi all, I've only recently started building pedals myself - at this point I'm still cheating and just populating PCBs made by others. Here is a simple 1590A build I have done. It's just a dual latching amp switch (with 2 colour LEDs... hence all the wires). My next 1590A build, currently in progress, is a distiortion. I'll post pics when that's done...

Your golden cable makes it look really cool! :D

I just have to say, this thread is one of my favorite things ever.

Here's my latest build. I put it in the pictures thread to help get to 1000, but it belongs here:

(Rangemaster derivative w/ input stage and a couple "mojo lite" components)

Some other recent 1590A builds:

(Rangemaster w/ tone knob on a Madbean board)

(Madbean Lavache)

Multiple Madbean Babyboards on the way .... and a PTP/perfboard mini orange squeezer (which is going to be very sad about not having a box for a while.)

alright. i'm still newish to the 1590A

someone told me they like they boost recovery section in my optical tremolo. i had a board i made that did just that (not with a 1590A in mind though). and I had some enclosures but they were pre-drilled for a different purpose... still came together with a bit of difficulty. had to chop the casing for the pot to make room. if it didn't fire up first time i would have been screwed!

Blood, Sweat & Flux. Pedals made with lasers and real wires!

Here is my contribution (it is an amp)!

Here's a few of my 1590a efforts:

Dying battery simulator with voltmeter

and the guts...

and an earlier version...

072 buffer

LDR volume pedal

Volume cutter (like a solo booster)

Reversable Killswitch

I love 1590A sized pedals, you can fit a lot in them if you plan well!

TCA: Is that mosfet? I like the simplicity of it. How loud is it compared to , say, a 386 amp?

You really need better guts shots of that thing...  :icon_wink:

resistors are SMD mf, all other - with pins. film capacitors, etc.
First version had a single sided pcb, so if you interested,  - pm me.

That PCB is a fantastic piece of engineering/art.  :)
