I present to you: my Micro Delay

Nice. Is it the rebote 2.5?
//Solderman

Yes it is. The layout is even tighter than yours  ;D

You squeezed it into a 1590A - you insane fool!  :icon_mrgreen:

Well this... this is just silly... this can't fit in a 1590B... can it? And you're not even using SMD you mad man!

Molten MIDI - The World's Smallest Professional MIDI Footswitch

Designed to control the Whammy IV with 10 different settings, but can be programmed for any other MIDI device.  Also, the chip comes in a socket so buyers can get other chips with 10 more Whammy settings (like arpeggiators, sirens, unique harmony combinations, etc.), or have us program a custom one.

Nuts. I wasn't supposed to think about 1509A's anymore but now you've got me wondering if a MIDI-controlled, true bypass box would fit in a 1509A...

Receiving MIDI is a whole lot trickier than sending it...

Agreed! You've gotta use that stupid opto-isolator circuit if you're going to be making a production MIDI device. I see the purpose if somebody is chaining a whole bunch of MIDI devices together, but for a single MIDI connection (like between a keyboard and a synth) it's overkill. It's not like the 6N13X parts are expensive, it's just an extra nuisance.

Someday I'll work up to it. But it sounds like not in a 1509A...

Hi
Nice job as always. Where do you get those sausages like resistors?
In that magnification the circuit looks like something that came from Wallis & Gromit :icon_mrgreen:

Mouser - they're just Vishay-Dales.

I like 'em as I can just read the value rather than trying to decode colored bands.....I really started using them because I was lazy...

haha, no if you look, shes the power supply  lol,

thats as far out as i could pull the board

i had to put the parts facing in, the electrolyitics were too tall, and i had to use duct tape ( i had some of the silver variety ;D) to prevent the vero board from grounding itself
