I've been wanting to build the BB preamp, and I have been told that the L.A Boutique Screamer is supposed to be a good copy of that. But today when I was ordering parts, I noticed that two of the resistors on the schematic are labeled "47E" and "220E". I understand the rest of the labeling, but what does this mean?

Here is a link to the schematic: http://folk.ntnu.no/espenta/gitar/BB%20Preamp/L.A.BoutiqueScreamer.pdf

Looking at a regular TS schematic i'd say the values are 220ohms and 47ohms.  I've never seen it notated like that before.  I'm used to seeng it notated with and R such as "220r"

hi,

"E" is for "ohm", so "47E" is 47 Ohm. "E" means "Einheiten" (german)

btw; be sure that you connect the non-inv. and the inv.input of the gain-stage in the correct way - i made  a mistake in the drawning.

Ah, thank you! Then I ordered the right parts :)

I'm not sure what you mean with the mistake? Which of the gain stages are wrong?

Painkiller

Do you mean the first gain stage, where you have 4,5V connected to the negative input?

"kusi" verified that the last schem is correct. I will start building as soon as I get the parts.

btw, is there an edit button on this forum? Couldn't find one...
