On the build of materials for the BYOC Overdrive Pedal it shows a 4.7M resistor.
The highest metal film seem to go is 2.2M
Can you use a Carbon Film in there without any problems or is there a 4.7M?

Yes, you can use a carbon film resistor. Just make sure it's got an appropriate power rating. 1/2 W to be safe. 1/4 W is also probably okay. Probably not 1/8 W though.

You know BYOC has their own forum right: http://www.buildyourownclone.com/forum.html -- you might find more specific help there. Not trying to discourage you from posting here, just: right tool for the right job, that's all.

You should be able to find 4M7 metal film resistors without any problem, where have you looked?

The 4M7 in that schematic is only a pulldown resistor to stop pops when using true bypass swicthing. The value isn't critical anything over about 1M will work fine.
