Greetings all,

I am looking for a thesis project for the coming year at uni (starts March). I could do a boring power subject... but I felt like it was time for one last hurrah to do something really cool. So here's the idea:

I want to take R.G. Keen's 'FXBus' idea, and turn it digital. For those of you not familiar - http://www.geofex.com/Article_Folders/fxbus/fxbus.htm

I would like to build the fx pedal modules as digital filters, thus allowing a pedal designer or guitarist tinkerer to develop his own pedals by dragging and dropping sections from famous pedals together, and making new sounds.

I am keen to see if anyone would be interested in a project like this. Whether anyone would benefit or enjoy reading my work. Also, whether anyone would be willing to help out, and offer suggestions or advice.

I'd love to hear what you all think!

I have been looking at his projects forever, as some of of them are a little complex. I have been studying this one and have been going through the diffent scenarios as to housing the cards or modules. I was thinking about using those d-miniatures computer connectoravailable at radio shack as the plug in  the rear of the card or effects wrapper as an modular plug in panel.  So I will definitly be looking on this topic.
